Halloween Time, Disneyland's month-long celebration of ghouls, ghosts, and all things spooky, aims to please with unique twists on standard Disney fare.
Beloved Disney friends, decked out in seasonal costumes, as well as the most sinister of Disney characters, the villians, walk around both Disney parks and interact with children and adults alike.
For older Disney-lovers, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy offers a thrilling, and spooky, time. Voyagers will be launched into a haunted section of the univserse where ghosts float around freely, and will navigate twists and drops to the background music of screams and ghoulish shrills.
A new attraction this year for Halloween Time is the "Halloween Screams-A Villainous Surprise in the Skies," a fireworks celebration led by Halloween's biggest fan, Jack Skellington. Joining Jack are classic Disney villains Maleficent, Ursula the Sea Witch, Oogie Boogie and even Jack’s faithful ghost dog, Zero. Spectators are encouraged to participate in a bone-chilling Halloween Scream-Along during the show.
No Disney Halloween celebration would be complete without Jack Skellington, who returns with his Haunted Mansion Holiday at the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. Inspired by the classic Halloween movie, "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas," the Haunted Mansion Holiday combines fun and chills thanks to Jack and his mischevious friends as they scare guests once again in celebration of the Mansion's 40th anniversary.
Other not-so-scary Halloween celebrations at Disneyland include the Pumpkin Festival on Main Street U.S.A., the Halloween Roundup at the Big Thunder Ranch, the Big Thunder Barbeque, the Disney villians plotting to wreck havoc in "it's a small world" Mall, special Halloween-inspired treats, including Zero's Ghostly Ghoulash, and Halloween-themed gifts sold throughout the park.
