Ham Radio Emergency Preparedness Demonstration

The Orange County Amateur Radio Amateur Club will be participating in an amateur radio emergency training exercise called “Field Day.”
Over 35,000 amateur (ham) radio operators from the US and Canada will practice their emergency comm. skills over a 24 hr period with the goal of demonstrating portable power sources and completely independent communications. The public is invited to observe and even get on the air with us. Our group will be on the field behind the Walter Knott Ed. Center.
