With more than 90 million albums sold worldwide, Earth, Wind and Fire is quite possibly one of the most recognizable bands with some of the most enduring songs on the planet. The band has 10 Grammy Awards to their name, four American Music Awards and have been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Virtually no party with dancing and fun is complete without an Earth, Wind and Fire song being played at least once. Throughout the 1970s, the band churned out hits inspired by funk, jazz, African, soul, pop and rock music. Their first number one hit in the United States was "Shining Star" in 1975. More chart toppers such as "Got to Get You Into My Life," "Boogie Wonderland" and "Let's Groove" followed. The band has enjoyed a heavy touring schedule since the 1980s, playing to sold out audiences around the world.
