Step I: Prep School · March / April 2008
Book Proposal YOUniversity (6-weeks starts 3/20) is included. Sessions are captured for you to participate even if you join us late, or can't join us live.
Step II: Mastery Class · May 29
Join us in LA for a one day pre-event training intensive where you will work with professionals to practice and fine tune your pitch and map out your personal plan of attack for BookExpo.
We'll bring your registration badge and BEA program right to you at the hotel so you won't have to wait in long lines the first day of the Expo
Enjoy our relaxing ocean-side lodging at a special discount price for our group and away from the parking lots and freeways of downtown Los Angele. (We've secured rates much cheaper than you'll find on your own or through BEA!
Step III:
Show Time & Beyond · May 30 through June 1
Doors open for three full days at BookExpo America supported with on the spot coaching and advice from six publishing industry professionals.
We provide transportation from the hotel to and from BEA
You'll have a home base at the AuthorSmart booth #451---refresh, leave your valuables, get advice, store your treasures
On the spot coaching - we help you every step of your conversations and connections with publishers because we're only steps away
Evening debrief sessions to help make sense of the immense amount of information, and strategize next steps.

Thursday • March 20
AuthorSmart's Six-Week Special BEA Edition Book Proposal YOUniversity is included in the cost of registration! Work in a group of peers as you get yourself and your book proposal inshape for BEA.
Thursday • May 29
We meet bright and early to kick off an intensive day of prep and practice. You'll finish the day with a detailed plan for BEA, confident in where you're headed, what you need to say to which people...and how.
Lunch provided.
We'll have already picked up your official event guide to aid in planning and will distribute BEA badges.
In the evening, dine on your own or with others in the group in beautiful Marina Del Rey.
Friday & Saturday
May 30 & 31
We'll shuttle over to the LA Convention Center---have a look around then put the strategic plan you've created into action.
The AuthorSmart booth can serve as your homebase throughout the day. Our BEA tour guides will be available all three days to assist you with coaching, advice and feedback.
In the evening, shuttle back to the hotel for dinner as you wish and a debrief session.
Sunday
June 1
There's still plenty of activity on this last day. For the final day, we shuttle you over the Convention Center. Plan your flight for the afternoon and provide us with what we can ship home to you, then dive into a final day of making connections for your book.

Six hour-long teleclasses to prepare you to make the most of the live event (starts March 20), includes a detailed workbook for the six-class session
Four days of conference support and coaching, including a pre-BEA one day preparation session at the hotel with lunch
