Kelly Lydick, Daniel Tiffany and Michael Smoler read from new works at this month's poetry series at The Smell, with musical performances later that evening.
This month’s featured poets at The Smell’s poetry series, Kelly Lydick, Daniel Tiffany and Michael Smoler will be reading at the music venue and art gallery, Sunday, March 30th.
Kelly Lydick will read from Mastering the Dream, newly published by Second Story Books (Oakland, California). Her writing has appeared in Twittering Machine, the New College Review, the Burlington College Poetry Journal, and she is the author of the chapbook We Once Were.
Daniel Tiffany is the author of Puppet Wardrobe (Free Verse Editions), Toy Medium: Materialism and Modern Lyric (University of California Press), and Radio Corpse: Imagism and the Cryptaesthetic of Ezra Pound (Harvard University Press). He is a professor at USC and will read form new works.
Michael Smoler, author of envy in smoke, worn broke and The Candy Was Good, will also read from new works. Michael has taught at Naropa University and at California college of the Arts; he is currently the director of HIGH ENERGY CONSTRUCTS, an exhibitions and performance venue in Los Angeles.
