The BET AWARDS is the most-watched awards program for African American viewers in cable history. For the past 8 years, B.E.T has hosted the premier event in Los Angeles, California that awards the best in music from the 2007/2008. Each year, it has grown more popular as it presents the top artist who not only present but also perform.
However it's not just the show that is popular. With celebrities coming from movies, TV, sports, radio as well as music, you get the pre-parties and after parties that have become just as legendary as the event itself.
What happens at the event?
There are parties and concerts on the outside as well as the inside the Shrine Auditorium. View the red carpet. Cheer on your favorite performers and while everyone else is watching the show from the living room, you get to witness all the excitement live and in person.
What type of activities happen during BET?
The annual BET showcase starts off with a special 106 & PARK: LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET pre-show beginning at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT, capturing the eye-popping fashions and arrival excitement of Hollywood's top-shelf superstars, mixed with music videos and special performances.
The scene then shifts inside to the Shrine Auditorium for BET's recognition of greatness in music, sports and entertainment. A BET BLACK CARPET NEWS SPECIAL: LIVE FROM THE '08 BET AWARDS wraps up the night at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT with a post-show parade of interviews, reactions and highlights.
The official celebrity after party starts right the awards events wrap but the pre-parties start Friday-Tuesday.
