When listening to our record, we want people to feel exactly like the feeling you get when you couldn't be happier anywhere else, doing anything else, at that moment in time," says Scenic guitarist Dan Wolf. "We really feel we made a great record. Overall, it's very feel-good, yet still has an emotional side to it.
With refreshing humor and a streak of good fortune to their credit, the Scenic has created a buzz that has helped build one of summer's most anticipated releases, Find Yourself Here. They've made an honest, straightforward record that pulls no punches in its messages.
Brighten
There is not only one way to interpret Brighten and who they are. Take Jimmy Eat World and stir in a little James Taylor, add a little Get Up Kids and top with a pinch of Phil Collins and out comes Brighten. They are rock and roll boys that you can take home to mom.
TV/TV
"TV/TV fans must be grateful that this band said no to Ritalin. The New York City quartet fires off infectious energy with every sweet note, whisking listeners away. Their new EP, aptly titled Something To Get Excited About, is slated for a September release, and features a healthy dose of the bands cheeky pop-rock blend." - BMI
Stacy Clark
When you look at a new artist, sure - anyone can churn out an impressive four-song EP. But the real test comes thereafter when you have to prove your legitimacy on more tracks, while displaying marked improvement and progression all-the-while. On Stacy Clark's Apples and Oranges, she displays an impressive (and improved) vocal range, diverse song construction, and an overall knack for writing the types of songs that people just want to hear. When Clark belts out, "I am waiting for my big break" on "Strange", the idea seems almost silly. She surely won't be waiting much longer. -Steve Henderson, Absolutepunk.net
