In celebration of ancestral heritage, the Second Annual Day of the Ancestors: Festival of Masks returns in 2012! Don your mask and get ready to chant, drum and dance with Najite, LA Commons, and friends and neighbors from around the city. The day will be steeped in the lives and ancestral history of Africa with local cuisine, mask making, a traditional procession, music and much more. Everyone is encouraged to bring photos of their own ancestors to carry during the procession!
