The Newly-elected Abe Administration and its Policies

Consul General Niimi comes to UCLA to give a presentation detailing the results and implications of the recent national poll, which delivered the LSP a supermajority in the lower house, and outline the economic and foreign policies of the new administration. He will put forth the new government’s stance on the central importance of the Japan-U.S. Alliance and its renewed push for security and trade cooperation with both the U.S. and Japan's Asian neighbors.
