We're Taking It All Off For... ART! Landfill destined billboards re-invented as public art!
It is estimated that every year more than 450 million square feet of toxic, non-biodegradable billboard vinyl is tossed into landfills. For the past four years Eco-LogicalART, a small non-profit based in Los Angeles, has been salvaging vinyl, stretching it and offering the canvases to artists for free in exchange for exposure on the exterior of the gallery. This quirky "drive-by" exhibit is not only a greener approach to art, but has also become a way to inspire and create hope within the community through public art. We also exhibit artists who work with repurposed/ recycled materials.
