Griffith Observatory

The Griffith Observatory is a Los Angeles landmark that serves as an entertainment, tourist and educational facility.

Daily programs in astrology are offered in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. Education events are in the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon.

Periodic special events and monthly public star parties are also featured.

The facility is 1,134 feet above sea lovel. It is owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles, Dept. of Recreation and Parks.
