Over the years I've watched alot of Clint Eastwood, from Dirty Harry to Unforgiven, and now Gran Torino. This is the best Clint Eastwood movie yet. I thought about this hard because Unforgiven was his best work...until now. Clint plays a war Veteran named Walt who lives in a neighborhood thats full of immigrants. His character is very racist...he never slows the insults calling his neighbors gooks. A Asian gang has their eye on his prized posession, a 70's Gran Torino in immaculate condition. The leader of the gang has a cousin who lives next door to Clint's character Walt. As a initiation, the boy must steal the Gran Torino, but this was botched by Eastwood himself when he took the 12 gauge to the young boy in the garage, but trips, and falls. Later Walt developes a bond with the boy's family, after the boy is made to be a servant to Clint for a couple of weeks. Clint's character is fearless, often questioning death, or looking it in the eye. A very deep, and emotional movie. This is a movie that should be heavily recommended, because "Dirty Harry" does it again, only this time in 2009, without a horse..well he does have a horse...his beautiful Gran Torino.
