Contrary to the reviewer before me, I have been to the Nokia Theater on more than one occasion and I have nothing but good things to say about it.
I've sat on the floor for the events that I attended and the sound quality was excellent, the security was exceptional, and fortunately, for my experience, the patrons were more interested in the music than each other.
Perhaps, yausser, you just had a unlucky experience with the Steely Dan show. Honestly, I wanted to go to that show when it was announced as I have seen Steely Dan before and LOVED IT but I was already committed to seeing John Mayer that night. I do hope that you try the Nokia again as it is an incredible place to see a live performance.

Give me the Wiltern, the Orpheum, the Hollywood Bowl, the House of Blues, or even the Greek, please! I love music. That's why I say, No No No Nokia! If you appreciate music, the Nokia will ruin your experience. Here's why:
The aisles are wide in the orchestra seating section theatre with few aisles
There is only an intermission between the opening act the main event, so during the main event, people come and go out for drinks, and you have to stand each time for them to pass. This happened almost every song.
Drink cupholders on the back of seats, and passing patrons caused five drinks to spill behind us. Thanks Nokia for my wet feet, her wet purse, our wet spirits.
Patrons talked throughout the opening act, ignoring good musicians
Steely Dan was great, but was the sound system was not quite up to showing them off
One plus, security was effective in throwing out the drunks behind us, but after their fistfight!
It only interrupted one number
For me, it's NO NO NO NOKIA!
For me, if the music is worth seeing, the Nokia theatre may ruin it.
For you, the better the music, the more NOkia will ruin it for you.
