Colonel Buzz Aldrin, USAF, Retired

Born on January 20, 1930, Buzz Aldrin grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. He went on to graduate with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point, fly the infamous Sabre in the Korean War and downed two MIG-15s in the process.

Later in life, he earned a doctorate degree in Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
