Dropped out of high school in the 10th grade; classmate Ron Howard later directed her in 1996's Ransom . As a teen, she was spotted outside a concert by an agent and signed to a modeling contract; became a top model of the 1970s and early 1980s. Breakthrough role was as a tough detective in 1992's Lethal Weapon 3 ; she reprised the role six years later in Lethal Weapon 4 .
