Newark, NJ-born Andre came up singing in his church, performed in musicals and plays, and developed his songwriting skills -- all the while broadening his taste in music -- prior to stepping out on his own. Signed to the EZ Deuce label, the throwback-minded vocalist released his first album, A New Song, in 2008. Prior to its release, he had opened for the likes of Brian McKnight, Musiq, J.
